IT equipment nearing the end of its lifecycle can present significant challenges, particularly when high volumes are involved after technology refreshes or system upgrades. We work with our clients to redeploy productively if possible or, if not, to earmark equipment for disposal at the appropriate time. Thus machines can be moved on in a planned way while they retain some value, and at the same time this alleviates the issues surrounding disposal under the new Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE).
If equipment cannot be redeployed or resold, we undertake disposal through appropriate channels to organisations who handle recycling in accordance with regulations and with all necessary documentation and audit trails. Disks may be wiped to level 7 to ensure security of data.
